Sheffield Harmony was founded in 1978 in the dining room of our Treasurer, Joan. Since then, the chorus has gone from strength to strength and now we have 60 members!

The chorus competes at Sweet Adelines’ Region 31 contest each year, achieving a score of 555 and a bronze medal in Division AA (30-60 members) in 2016.

There have been many highlights away from the competition stage. We have featured on film, television and radio including Radio Sheffield’s ‘Good News Friday’ and appearing in 2014’s Pulp: A Film about Life, Death and Supermarkets. The chorus recorded a barbershop version of ‘Common People’ that features on the film’s soundtrack, and performed at the premiere at Sheffield City Hall! Watch here.

The chorus regularly performs at events for corporate and community organisations, at private celebrations, and at shows. You can find out when to next see us here.

Sheffield Harmony will be appearing in Sheffield in Harmony, a show celebrating the Steel City’s considerable barbershop talents, hosted by our brother chorus.

Hallmark of Harmony are 2017’s silver medal men’s chorus, and have snatched gold no fewer than 7 times during their illustrious history.

The lineup is completed by fabulous UK champion and world silver medallist mixed quartet, Hannah & the Hurricanes.
