Musical Director: Ros Kipps

Ros joined Sheffield Harmony as their director in 2018 after relocating from London, where she directed LABBS chorus Green Street Blues and sang with and assistant-directed Sweet Adelines Region 31 chorus Viva Acapella. She is a double quartet national champion, singing bass with her womens’ quartet Nightfall (SAI R31, 2019) and lead in her mixed quartet Scandal (BinH, 2019). In addition to Sheffield Harmony, Ros directs the LABBS Youth Chorus, a national chorus for 7-29 year olds. Ros regularly coaches quartets and is a member of the Sweet Adelines International Region 31 Education Faculty.

Assistant Musical Director: Danuta Clarkson

Danuta has been singing and acting since childhood, winning parts in Polish Saturday School plays since 8 years old and joining the Polish Choir at 10. After 5 years, at only 15, Danuta started directing the 45-strong 4-part choir. During her career as a teacher, Danuta took on extra-curricular responsibilities directing and teaching school choirs and outside of work has also directed the Manor Operatic Society.

I have taught numerous choirs in the schools I have worked in and even sang in a band for a while. I then decided it was time to do something just for me! The flyer came through the door and after the first night of the 12 week barbershop workshop, I was seriously hooked! I watched the energetic and engaging performance of the repertoire songs which Sheffield Harmony sang and performed and the rest is history!
